Blog Post # 4 Assignment: “EPIC 2015” Response

Since technology is ever changing and almost anything is possible, Epic 2015 is pretty plausible and believable. The need to continue to be the best would definetly force Google and Microsoft to compete against each other and try to further new media. Journalism will benefit from this because with new media being the competitive field that it is, it will have many different ways to reach people with news and world issues.




I don't believe however that Google and Amazon would combine because they are competitive and they do well enough as seperate entities. Also, what about Facebook? It would have definetly evolved since its inception in 2006. Social Networking sites are a huge part of new media and continue to grow and change. The movie should have added a part about that instead of Friendster because it would probably be much bigger in 2015 then it is today. Still, I can imagine that Google will expand and grow into the future because it is a thriving business and it is continously changing.
